Patrik Antonius Greatest Online Poker Player?
Is Patrik Antonius becoming the greatest online poker player in the history of the game? It is quite possible that Antonius is on his way to becoming the best online poker player in the history of the game by picking up two incredible feats over a span of 48 hours. In one of our previous posts, we wrote about the largest pot in online poker history, won by Antonius not too long ago. Well, Antonius broke his own record only 48 hours after he set it.
This time, the record is set at just over $1 million at $1,356,946 in one pot of online poker. And, ironically, Antonius beat the same opponent for both record setting pots, Isildur1. The pot was won on Full Tilt Poker. Antonius’ opponent was the hottest thing on the online poker scene just a couple of months ago when he broke onto the scene by winning over $5 million in less than one month’s time. The majority of the $5 million he won in less than one month has disappeared in losses and is down to around $750,000 in profit. He is one or two losses away from being in the red all of a sudden.
So, is Antonius the great online poker player in the history of online poker? It is too early to tell but it can be deemed true if Antonius breaks his own record for the second time in the next couple of days. The original record he broke was set roughly one year ago at $723,000 but Antonius took home $878,000.
