Jennifer Tilly is known mostly for her talent as an American-Canadian actress but her other little known talent is the fact that she can play poker. She is so talented at the game of poker that she has won a World Series of Poker Ladies’ Event bracelet. Tilly was born as Jennifer Chan but was raised by her mother, Patricia Tilly. Her sister is actress Meg Tilly.

Tilly won her World Series of Poker bracelet in 2005 along with $158,625 in the Ladies’ No Limit Texas Hold’Em event in which see outlasted 600 other players to secure the bracelet. Tilly has appeared in the series Poker Royale on GSN, on Poker Superstars, and the Bravo show Celebrity Poker Showdown. Tilly, even though still acting, is more interested in pursuing her poker career than her acting career. She is most known as the voice of Bonnie Swanson on the animated Fox series Family Guy.

“I love poker but greatness in poker is an elusive dream. There are too many variants. Trying to find validation in poker is like trying to find a virgin in a whorehouse. I’m not giving up poker entirely — gambling is an addiction after all. I’m just going to treat it more like a hobby and less like a career.”

Tilly is due to appear in two new movies to be released in 2010 and 2011 that are both still in production. The movie due out in 2010 is Leprechaun vs. Chucky and the movie due out in 2011 is call Revenge of Chucky.
