Full Tilt License Hearing Looms: More Excuses to Poker PlayersAaah Full Tilt Full Tilt Full Tilt. When will the excuses end? Pokernews.com reported on yet another press release from the former poker giant in which they tried once more to state their current position and provide a note of optimism for former clients. Unfortunately the empty statements may have been to curry public favor as their September 19 license hearing looms. We all know the story by now. Full Tilt along with PokerStars and UB Poker were seized by the U.S. Dept. of Justice back on April 15 for alleged violations of the Wire Act, embezzlement and money laundering. Since that time both PokerStars and UB have managed to start the process of refunding their U.S. players but Full Tilt continues to roll out excuses as to why it can’t do the same. After promises of new investors and a capital infusion Full Tilt seems no further along than it was five months ago. All the proposed investors have turned away and no one has said when the refunds will be issued or if they will be issued. Full Tilt words its press releases carefully so they seem to talk about refunds without actually saying they will give them. They certainly “hope” to do so one day soon. Now the former online casino is sharing with the world the fact that they have hired another financial advisor to help them reduce costs and streamline their operations in preparation of a return to the online poker world. I have to wonder if Full Tilt would stop spending all this money on lawyers, accountants and copy writers would they be able to start initiating refund checks? To complete their sob story Full Tilt explains they will have to make at least 250 employees redundant to help save approximately 12 million Euros from their expenditures. I hate for people to lose their jobs but I do wish Full Tilt would take responsibility instead of finding someone, anyone else to blame but themselves for this predicament. The private hearing is just days away. I wonder what will happen next?  Probably nothing. Well, at least another press release about nothing.
