Poker Tips: Never Play When Tired
One of the most important tips that all poker players, amateurs and pros, should follow is to never play the game tired. The game of poker involves a lot of mental toughness and a ton of thought. Each player must be able to second guess another player and determine whether or not they are bluffing or are being serious when it comes to their hand.
If you play poker when tired you are more apt to making a mistake with your hand, playing the wrong card, falling for a bluff by an opponent and many other problems. Playing poker tired can mean the difference between winning a lot of money and losing a lot of money. If you play poker tired you can jeopardize your entire reputation as well.
Just like experts tell us not to drive tired or operate heavy machinery tired the same can be said for playing the game of poker. Getting enough rest and relaxation prior to playing the game of poker can really help the player’s game. People that are awake for a period of 15 consecutive hours or longer experience a diminished skill of cognitive reasoning.
Before playing a game of poker make sure that you get enough rest, at least 6 to 8 hours of sleep so that your brain is in rare form during the card game. This will help you stay on top of your opponent’s moves and keep your moves fresh. You will also have a lower risk of making a stupid mistake or betting when you should be folding.
